Welcome to Priority Health
Studies show that mental wellbeing impacts on the entire person – mentally and physically. Mental and emotional wellbeing support sleep patterns, a strengthened immune system, lowered blood pressure and mental alertness. Mental health affects everything – our work performance, our relationships, our social lives, our educational achievements and our experiences of the world around us. The World Health Organisation states that good health is a ‘state of complete physical, social and mental well-being..’
We realise that the world of mental health professionals may be daunting. The difference between psychotherapists, psychiatrists, counsellors, therapists and myriad other supportive services can be daunting for someone unfamiliar with the process. After decades working within the field of mental health, we developed Priority Health to approach this from the perspective of the client who is keen to start their journey to mental wellbeing, but does not know how or where to begin.
...the journey to mental wellbeing
Mental health is complex – but our process is simple. After an initial assessment, we provide you with a recommended care plan or course of treatment that is right for you. It’s your choice whether to proceed – and we can answer any questions you may have.
Whether you are suffering with depression or work related stress; an addiction or compulsive behaviour; an eating disorder or traumatic event – or are coping with bereavement, sexuality issues or anxiety, we can help.
You may be experiencing one of more of these issues at the moment. You may be concerned for a family member. You may not be able to accurately define the issue at all – but just feel that things are not right; that your emotional wellbeing could be so much better. We support individuals, families, employers and organisation. Mental wellness affects us all.
- This website will describe the simple process that we have developed to support your journey. Our vision is to make this simple to access, easy to understand and with fast ‘priority’ appointments at times and places convenient to you. Your journey to wellness begins today.Mike DelaneyClinical Director
